No idea which episode this is or what the story is about, looks like a decent special effect though.
Eldar Wraithguard
Constructed from wraithbone, Wraithguard are not living warriors, they are constructs which house a spirit stone containing the soul of an Eldar warrior.
Armed with Wraithcannons these giants are fearsome opponents.

New Warhammer Trees look like plastic model trees…
The other day I popped into Games Workshop in Cribbs Causeway and managed to have a really good look at the new Warhammer buildings as I posted earlier.
I also managed to have a good look at the new plastic trees.
I will say I was not impressed!
They look like plastic model trees.
I am sure that some will like them, but they are plastic model trees!
Coming soon to Doctor Who…
Lots of scarecrows amongst other things…
At the end of the Lazarus episode of Doctor Who a trailer was shown which unlike most other trailers covered more than the next episode.
In it we see lots of previews of other episodes.
On Saturday 26th May we shall see some scary scarecrows. No idea what they are up to, or where they came from.
It is also apparent that Doctor Who ends up in the trenches in the first world war.
We also see the return of Captain Jack as implied in the final episode of season one of Torchwood.
I think we can say that David Tennant is certainly working well as the tenth doctor.
I am enjoying this season.
Eldar Falcon
Very nicely painted Eldar Falcon grav-tank from the GamesDay 2006 displays.
Now and again I think about getting a small Eldar force, notably the Rangers, but I already have way too much to paint already!
Saw the Warhammer Buildings in the “flesh” and the Chaos ruins as well…
Yesterday I popped into Games Workshop in Cribbs Causeway and managed to have a really good look at the new Warhammer buildings. The shop had constructed theirs and had given it a black undercoat. They had constructed the fortified manor house, which consists of the tower, the chapel and a joining section.
It is a very nice model, however it was smaller than I thought it would be, but there are some really nice details.
It looks like it will be nice to paint, but may need some texture to bring out the fact it is in fact stone and not plastic!
The details are nice and include swivel guns, skulls and has a range of options.
I also had a good look at the chaos temple ruins which are very nice and look like they can be used equally with Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Warhammer 40000. You get quite a bit of ruin and I personally thought it wasn’t bad value for £15. I think I would have preferred it in resin over plastic and like the buildings would benefit from a stone texture.
Overall I was impressed with both plastic kits.

Saim-Hann Autarch from the Eldar displays at GamesDay 2006.
Warmaster Araby Infantry
These 10mm high models were on display at GamesDay 2006. I did take quite a few photographs of these models (which have only recently been released) however a lot of them didn’t come out, very blurred. This was in the main trying to be quick and the size of the models.

Orc War Wyvern an old model, which I still have…
This is the old Citadel Orc War Wyvern, which is from the Games Workshop archive and was on display at GamesDay 2006.
An early release for Warhammer, I do in fact have one of these, somewhere!
