Stormboyz

These models rely heavily on the plastic Ork sprue and I am also using components from the Orc Warhammer sprue.

Rather than use all the heads with helmets that came in the pack I used heads from the Ork Boyz sprue and the Orc Warriors sprue.

As you can see from these four, I have made extensive use of the Orc Warriors sprue.

Here is a close-up of one of the models.

The boyz models were given a black undercoat (spray) and then touched up with a watered down Chaos Black paint. They were then drybrushed with Tin Bitz and Boltgun Metal.

Skin tones were done in the same style as my other Orks.

The Rokkit packs are being painted separately. The Rokkit packs (unlike the Boyz) were given a white undercoat.

The Rokkit packs were painted with different colours of brown with red nose cones.

They were then given a wash of Chestnut Ink, Scorched Brown paint and water.

Here is a work in progress shot of four of the Stormboyz.

Here is a work in progress shot of four of the Stormboyz. The bases have been done, and the uniform (unlike my other Ork Boyz who wear grey) is been done in shades of brown.

Here is a rear view, you can see that I have used the Warhammer Fantasy Orc sprue on the first and third Orks from the left.

At this stage I stuck the jump packs on. I used epoxy glue as previous experience with superglue with painted miniatures resulted in a fine grey dusting.

Here are the other four.
