Forge World Ork Gun Trukk Concept

There were some great new models at the Forge World Open Day 2009.

Will Hayes has been working on some ideas for Ork Trukks and additional weapons and these looked really nice and would add variety to any Ork army which uses Trukks.

This was his Ork Gun Trukk or should that be Half-Trukk? Note the bigger engine. The room for only a single driver. Oh and the big gun in the back of the Trukk.

Ork Flakk Wagon

I think my favourite model from GamesDay 2008 was Forge World’s Ork Flakk Wagon.

From a gaming perspective it can’t really be considered too important as I guess not too many gamers use aircraft in their games (but hey you never know).

From a model perspective it is just a conversion kit, it is not a full resin kit. It looks as though as well as new crew you also get a new engine too.

I really do like the way it looks, very Orky.

In my original post on the Flakk Wagon just after GamesDay I said:

I also like it, because it means that Forge World are making more Ork stuff and I hope that this isn’t a one off, but just the start of lots of new stuff.

At the Forge World Open Day in April we saw various work in progress models from Will Hayes so that wave of Ork stuff from Forge World is on its way.

Sisters of Battle Repressor

Though I have been modelling and painting my own Forge World Repressor for my Inqusitorial Stormtroopers, the model was really developed for the Sisters of Battle (though also used by the Adeptus Arbites). I do like this model (which is why I have one).

Ork Battlewagon with Supa-Kannon

On display at the Forge World Open Day was an Ork Battlewagon with a Supa-Kannon.

This comprises various parts as a conversion kit (not sure if it will be available as a complete model).

As well as the new GW Battlewagon, I would have thought this would fit on the original Forge World Battlewagon too.

A side view.

This is referred to by Forge World as a Supa-Kannon.

In the Ork Codex there is an upgrade for the Battlewagon which is called the KillKannon. Now is this a different weapon with different stats? At the moment we don’t know, but as a conversion kit for the KillKannon it would appear to fit the bill.

Also at the Open Day were various sketches one of which looks interesting with a Battlewagon with a huge rocket.

Looks like there is going to be some interesting new Ork stuff from Forge World.

Starting the Inquisitorial Stormtrooper Repressor basecoat

Having finished building my Inquisitorial Stormtrooper Repressor and added lots of symbology I gave the model a black undercoat.

The next stage was to start the basecoat. I used the Citadel Foundation Paint, Tausept Ochre.

At this point the Dozer Blade is not attached and will be glued on once the model has been painted fully.
