Forge World Ork Gunwagon

If you have been following my workbench feature on my Forge World Ork Gunwagon, you will know that it is nearly finished. Though not quite finished, it’s finished enough for me to use in a game (or two). Having read the Forge World Masterclass Volume One book I am re-looking at the model and will see if there are things I can add to the model.

Forge World Ork Gunwagon

It performs quite well, and just ensure you have a few Meks around to fix it when it gets shot to pieces.

"ruin the surprise"

When I was at GamesDay I had a chat with the White Dwarf crew about future issues. They only had the October and November issues available to preview. The October issue was in fact on sale at GamesDay, though the November issue did have a picture of the Ork Battlewagon. I was told by the WD crew that the December issue wasn’t at GamesDay as that would “ruin the surprise”.

Now what was that “surprise”?

I wondered at the time if it was going to be the Ork Stompa, now I think looking at the Warhammer Fantasy Battle Tabletop Gaming blog was the “surprise” a plastic Lizardman Stegadon?

I don’t have the issue of White Dwarf to hand so I can’t check to see what else is in it, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

There may be a few ways I think I could use a plastic Stegadon in my Warhammer 40K games.

Grot Bomb Launcha

I am in the process of painting my third Grot Bomb Launcha. This will take me to a battery of three of them. So far one is fully painted, the other on it’s way.

With the third one I have given the model an undercoat. Some parts were given a black undercoat and the remaining a white undercoat.

The black undercoated parts will be drybrushed with Tin Bitz and Boltgun Metal, whilst the white parts will be painted with a sand colour.

See the full workbench feature on this the third Grot Bomb Launcha.

More pictures of the Ork Battlewagon

Well after the pictures from White Dwarf appearing online, more pictures of the Ork Battlewagon are appearing.
The Bell of Lost Souls has had a nice spread of pictures of the model.

EDIT: Post removed from BoLS… See all the pictures on Warseer.

These give a much better idea of what the model is like.

It does look like that a Deff Roller could be fitted onto the front and there is the potential for a range of turrets as well.
