Junkatrukks

Here are two more Junkatrukks for my Feral Ork army, which will also be used as vehicles for my Ork Airfield Defence Force…

I know they could do with some detailing and maybe the odd glyph or two…

The models were painted vomit brown and then given an ink wash.

Before I would use a plain ink wash, but after reading an article on Dropship, I added some Scorched Brown to the ink and water mix and as a result the finished models are not as glossy as when I have used an ink wash.

The models were then drybrushed with the original base coat to highlight and to matt down the slight glossness caused by the wash.

Space Marine Landspeeders in flight…

Here are some Epic40K era Space Marine Landspeeders in flight.

These were very nice models, I am not sure if I like the new ones.

Space Marine Dreadnoughts

Space Marine Dreadnoughts, original plastic ones from the Stomper boxed set…

These are some of my Space Marine Dreadnoughts.

I usually use them as robots, but as they now have a marked resemblance to Mk IV venerable dreadnoughts from Forgeworld I may now paint up some of the others I have lying around as Grey Knights Mk IVs.

Epic Forgeworld Ork Gunwagon with armoured top…

I finally got round to undercoating the underneath of my Forgeworld Gunwagons.

After finding out that acrylic paint would not adhere to the raw resin I knew I needed to undercoat them.

Ork Airfield Defence Force* airfield vehicles

I have done the metallic parts of the vehicles in black.

I am using the same basing structure as my Epic Feral Orks to allow the models to be used with either army.

* I know a more Orkish name would be more in keeping with the fluff…

Ork Objective a little bit further…

In a previous post some time ago, I posted how I was building an Ork objective for Epic Armageddon.

I haven’t got much further, but here is a photo of how far I have got.

Still some way to go and I think it will look better once it is painted.

Ork Airfield Defence Force* airfield vehicles

Here are a couple of the Ork Airfield Defence Force airfield vehicles.

The role of these vehicles is to support the function of the Flyboyz, but they are armed with light weapons and/or AAA weapons.

One of the models is armed with a flak weapon from a Flakwagon. The other is towing a Big Gunz trailer with two bombs (lifted from a FW Ork Bomma).

I am using the same basing structure as my Feral Orks to allow the models to be used with either army.

Epic Ork Landa

I have undercoated my Ork Landa.

It is a really nice model, and it would be nice if Forgeworld made a 40K version.

I have made little progress with my Junkatrukks.

As you can see, since I last mentioned them, I have only managed to drybrush the metal parts.

I have since these pictures were taken experimented with an orange colour, but I am not sure at the moment, so I am only painting one to see how it comes out.
