It was an entry in the UK 2006 Golden Demon Awards.

Towering over its foes, the Wraithlord is controlled by the essence of one of the craftworld’s mightiest warriors. Able to be equipped with a wide variety of Heavy Weapons, Assault Weapons and even a close combat weapon the Wraithlord is an extremely versatile component in the Eldar battleplan.

Squiggoth

A Squiggoth that was entered into the GamesDay 2006 Golden Demon awards.

This is an Ork Squiggoth which was entered into the UK 2006 Golden Demon awards.

It is a nice concept, and the painting looks quite good.

For me the overall composition and basing of the model does let it down in my opinion. I am not sure if this is a Warhammer 40000 model or a Warhammer Fantasy Battle model, it’s not a clear concept. I like it, but I would like it even more if the overall concept had worked.

Having said all that it did get Gold!

Grot Tank

This very neat little Grot Tank won the Silver at the Golden Demon awards at GamesDay 2006.

From the Golden Demon Display Cabinets and Forge World, photographed at GamesDay.

Very nice model.

At the recent Forge World Open Day, there were previews of some new Forge World Grot Tanks which were really nice. I am certainly thinking that having a few Grot Tanks on the battlefield would go nicely alongside my Grot Bomb Launcha and be somewhat fun.

Balrog

This is a Balrog from a demonstration game at GamesDay 2006.

The Balrog is a mighty creature of great age and power. Awoken by eager Dwarven miners, the Balrog brought destruction to their kingdoms, overwhelming Durin and his doughty warriors in a series of terrible battles. Of all the evil powers in the world, the Balrog is amongst the most terrible and as one of the largest models in The Lord of The Rings game, is the perfect centre piece for an evil army.
