This is a really nice piece of Warhammer Fantasy scenery from Forge World which was on display at GamesDay 2004.
I have been meaning to buy myself one, but will only do so once I have painted other pieces of Forge World scenery I bought in the past.
warhammer, wh40k, flames of war, bolt action, aeronautica imperialis, star wars, models, news, views and stuff
Coming soon for Warhammer Fantasy is a new Orc on Wyvern model, Azhag the Slaughterer.

Now I started thinking about how I could use this model for my Feral Ork army for Warhammer 40K. With a little conversion work and a round base I think it would make for a very nice model.

The main focus of Bristol Conflict 2003 (was it really six years ago now) was the tournament games. Yes there was a Forge World stand and yes there were demonstration games and yes there was a very very small Games Workshop retail stand, however the main reason people went was to play games.
One Imperial Guard army which caught my eye was a Victorian Science Fiction themed army which made extensive use of the Praetorian Imperial Guard figures.
The main tank used was a “Leman Russ” though as you can see the actual model took elements of the Leman Russ and combined it with an Imperial Steam Tank from Warhammer Fantasy.

It was a really nice army.

Great blog on someone else’s Praetorian Imperial Guard army.
A Dwarf Lord from the display cabinets at GamesDay 2005.
When battle is joined it is the Lords and Thanes, with their finely crafted armour and rune-inscribed weapons who seek out the enemy’s most powerful combatants, matching bestial fury or dark magic with courage, honour and honest steel.

Dwarf Master Runelord Thorek Ironbrow and the Anvil of Doom in the display cabinets at GamesDay 2005.
Thorek is the Master Runelord of Karak Azulans, some say, the greatest runelord alive. He is the only Runelord that has the knowledge to make use of the Rune of Doom, the very rune that gave the Anvils their name.

Dwarf High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer and the Throne of Power in the display cabinets at GamesDay 2005.
Thorgrim is the descendant of the most ancient and noble of all Dwarf lords. The very blood of Grugni flows in his veins and the wisdow of Valaya sits upon his beetling brow.

This very weird and wonderful model of a Goblin Warboss on Gigantic Spider is from the Citadel Collectors Range and was on display at GamesDay 2007.
