Scratch-built Dwarf Gunboat.
From a game at GamesDay 2005.
warhammer, wh40k, flames of war, bolt action, aeronautica imperialis, star wars, models, news, views and stuff
As I buy my ticket for GamesDay 2005 and wonder how I am going to put any photographs I have on the web, here is a picture of a Warhammer game from GamesDay 2004.
This limited edition from Citadel in the 1980s became very rare as they withdrew it very quickly from sale.
I painted the fuel tank in Soviet colours as the painted model in White Dwarf at the time had its fuel tank painted with the stars and stripes and I didn’t think I could get the lines straight.
It is probably now one of my favourite models of all time and I now wish I had not sold it on eBay a few years back…
It should be noted that this was in fact a fantasy model and pre Warhammer 40K…hence the wooden wheel, though the back wheel was from a Judge Dredd model.
Games Workshop have released a picture of their up and coming new Wood Elves.
The Glade Guard look really good and much much better than the previous incarnation of Wood Elves. You can definitely see the influence of the Lord of the Rings on these miniatures and they certainly avoid the slightly comical look of the older range.
I am tempted to get a few of these.
This has to be one of my favourite models of all time.
The original Snotling Pump Wagon is a classic model and I did like the fact you could make it as either a single decker or double decker.
The new model (released a few years ago) is a poor imitation and certainly does not match the classic model.
