Arkanaut Ironclad

The Arkanaut Ironclad is the jewel in the crown of the Kharadron Overlords’ airfleets. It is a majestic airship that is bristling with weaponry. Its deep cargo holds can be laden with aether-gold or it can be loaded to the gunwales with Arkanaut Companies or Grundstok Thunderers.

The Ironclad is the largest vessel routinely seen in the Kharadron airfleets. It is clad in layer upon layer of riveted iron plates, making it incredibly tough and protective. The Ironclad is armed with a fearsome array of weapons, including aether-shot carbines, bombs, and torpedoes. These weapons can pour astonishing amounts of firepower on anything that gets between the Kharadron Overlords and their bounty of aether-gold.

The Ironclad is a formidable warship that is feared by its enemies. It is a symbol of the Kharadron Overlords’ technological prowess and their mastery of the skies.

Arkanaut Frigate

The Arkanaut Frigate is a versatile airship that represents centuries of refinement by the shipwrights of the Endrineers Guild. It is a balance of speed, transport capacity, and firepower, making it a mainstay of the Kharadron Overlords’ airfleets.

The frigate’s sleek hull is made of Aether-Khemist-treated gromril, making it both strong and light. This allows it to reach speeds of up to 150 knots, while still being able to carry a significant amount of cargo and troops. It is also fast and powerful enough to escape the gravitational drag of a density hole.

The frigate’s buoyancy endrin is powered by Aether-gold, and it allows the ship to stay aloft even in the most turbulent conditions. This makes it ideal for long-range missions, as well as for operating in dangerous environments, such as those found in the Eightpoints. It retains enough firepower to level a city should the need arise.

The frigate’s main armament is a pair of sky cannons, which can fire explosive shells that can level a city block. It also carries a number of smaller weapons, such as aethershot carbines and boarding weapons. This gives the frigate the firepower it needs to take on a variety of targets, from enemy airships to ground forces.

The Arkanaut Frigate is a powerful and versatile airship that is essential to the Kharadron Overlords’ war effort. It is a symbol of their technological prowess and their mastery of the skies. It is a formidable warship that is feared by its enemies.

The Mines of Vertigus II

In the entrance hall of Warhammer World is a large diorama of Ultramarines defending an Imperial facility against an overwhelming Necron force, entitled the Mines of Vertigus II.

The Mines of Vertigus II

White Dwarf #456 has six pages on how the diorama was put together.

What interested me was the railway, and this is what the article said about the railway.

The railway is made from the tracks that come on the Tectonic Fragdrill. We used a lot of them! The carts are Munitorum Armoured Containers with their roofs cut off. They were then mounted on the wheels from the Galvanic Servohaulers kit.

Alas due to the glass cabinet and lighting I was only able to make this shot.

Black Templars Stormhawk Interceptor

Stormhawk Interceptor
Black Templars Stormhawk Interceptor at Warhammer World

The Stormhawk Interceptor is a heavily armed air superiority fighter and gunship used by the Adeptus Astartes. It is a close relative to the Stormtalon gunship, but is more specialised for air-to-air combat. The Stormhawk is equipped with a powerful las-talon, twin assault cannons, and a skyhammer missile launcher, making it a formidable opponent for any enemy aircraft.

The Stormhawk is also highly manoeuvrable, making it an excellent dogfighter. It can easily outmanoeuvre enemy aircraft, and its powerful weapons can quickly dispatch them. The Stormhawk is also capable of operating in both void and atmospheric flight, making it a versatile asset to any Space Marine force.

When deployed in large numbers, Stormhawk squadrons can quickly overwhelm enemy air defences. They are often used in Vehemence Attack Patterns, in which they dive down on their targets at high speed, unleashing a devastating hail of fire. The Stormhawk’s golden haloes of flares are a signal that whatever planet the skies are over, they belong to the Emperor.

It is armed with a las-talon, twin assault cannons, and a skyhammer missile launcher and is protected by a layer of ablative armour.

The Stormhawk Interceptor is a powerful and versatile aircraft that is an essential asset to any Space Marine force. It is a fearsome opponent in air-to-air combat, and its ability to operate in both void and atmospheric flight makes it a valuable asset in any campaign.

Black Templars Primaris Redemptor Dreadnought

Redemptor Dreadnoughts are giant, powerful war machines that are used by the Adeptus Astartes, the Space Marines of the Imperium of Man. They are larger and more heavily armed than traditional Dreadnoughts, and they are equipped with a variety of advanced technologies that allow them to operate with surprising dexterity and speed, even though their pilots are entombed in cybernetic sarcophagi.

Redemptor Dreadnoughts are armed with a variety of powerful weapons, including a heavy flamer, an onslaught gatling cannon, and a macro plasma incinerator. These weapons can tear through enemy armour and flesh with ease, making Redemptor Dreadnoughts a fearsome sight on the battlefield.

In addition to their firepower, Redemptor Dreadnoughts are also protected by thick armour that can withstand heavy fire. This makes them ideal for spearheading assaults or holding the line against enemy attacks.

Redemptor Dreadnoughts are piloted by Astartes who have been mortally wounded in battle. These warriors are entombed in cybernetic sarcophagi that keep their bodies alive and allow them to continue fighting for the Emperor. The neural links that connect the pilot to the Dreadnought allow them to control the machine with surprising dexterity and speed, even though they are unable to move their own bodies.

Redemptor Dreadnoughts are a valuable asset to any Astartes force. They are powerful, versatile, and deadly, and they can turn the tide of any battle. Redemptor Dreadnoughts are a testament to the Adeptus Astartes’ dedication to never give up, no matter the cost. These mighty war machines are a symbol of hope for the Imperium, and they continue to fight for the Emperor even after their pilots have been mortally wounded.

Adeptus Ministorum Immolator

Adeptus Ministorum Immolator

The Immolator-pattern armoured assault transport is a heavily armoured vehicle used by the Adeptus Ministorum, the Ecclesiarchy of the Imperium of Man. It is a variant on the Rhino chassis, and is used to transport troops into battle.

The Immolator is armed with a twinned pair of heavy weapons, which can be either a pair of heavy bolters, a pair of flamers, or a pair of meltaguns. It also has a stained-armaglass ballistic shield, which protects the vehicle from incoming fire.

The Immolator is a valuable asset to any Adeptus Ministorum force. It is able to transport troops quickly and safely into battle, and its heavy weapons can provide devastating firepower.

The Immolator is also a symbol of the Adeptus Ministorum’s power and authority, and its presence on the battlefield is often enough to demoralise the enemy.

Battle of the Pelennor Fields

Witch-king of Angmar

The Battle of the Pelennor Fields was a battle for the city of Minas Tirith, and ultimately for Gondor, immediately following a large-scale siege of Minas Tirith by Sauron’s army. It was the greatest battle of the War of the Ring, and indeed the largest of the entire Third Age. Major casualties resulted from the battle, including the deaths of King Théoden and the Witch-king of Angmar.

This Lord of the Rings Battle Game diorama was on display in the entrance hall at Warhammer World.
