Punched back…

In a previous blog post I posted a photograph from a recent game in which my Orks were advancing across the battlefield.

My Orks cross the battlefield from a game of Warhammer 40K.

Packs quite a punch as there is a fair bit of heavy support.

Of course the reality is that not everything goes to plan, especially if the opposing Imperial Guard have a Medusa to hand…

Alas the main weapon on the Gunwagon was destroyed and not a Mek to be seen…

See photographs from a range of Warhammer 40K games.

Deploy the artillery

A battery of Imperial Guard Basilisk Artillery deploy ready to deliver an Imperial blow to the enemies of the Imperium. In the background can be seen an Imperial statue of a Space Marine.

The models are from the Epic 40000 era and are very well detailed.

From Simon’s collection. More photographs of Epic Imperial Guard.

Baneblade for an Imperial Commissar

So you’re an Imperial Commissar and you need a personal transport.

No way are you going to be happy with a Chimera or a Leman Russ, no you need the biggest and the best, you want a Baneblade super heavy tank.

This very nice Baneblade modified for an Imperial Commissar was on display at GamesDay 2007.

Epic Imperial Guard Salamander

Here are a trio of Imperial Guard Salamander from Simon’s collection.

The Salamander command vehicle is one of the many vehicles based on the flexible Chimera chassis. Armoured Company command sections are often equipped with the Salamander Command vehicle, allowing them and their Chimera borne infantry keep up during an assault and support the tanks.

These conversions were made, probably about ten years ago.

I am pretty sure that these are Griffon hulls, as for the gunners, well would you believe me if I said they were Ork Buggy Gunners?

Plastic Stompa and New Apocalypse

Having written before about the plastic Stompa, from another source I have got further  confirmation that there will be a plastic Ork Stompa and it will cost £60.

This same source did not deny the Plastic Shadowsword either.

One new thing from them was that when these models are released in April, there will also be the release of a revised version of Apocalypse.
