This is an Ork Squiggoth which was entered into the UK 2006 Golden Demon awards.
It is a nice concept, but though the painting looks quite good, the overall composition and basing of the model does let it down in my opinion.
I am not sure if this is a Warhammer 40000 model or a Warhammer Fantasy Battle model, it’s not a clear concept. I like it, but I would like it even more if the overall concept had worked.

This is a really nice model, you can see how I painted mine on my workbench.
I hope that one day Forgeworld release a variant version, but if they don’t I may have to get another one and convert it.

Some of the Feral Ork Boyz. Here is a work in progress shot of some of my Ork Huntaz.
They use parts from the Ork Boyz sprue and the Orc Warriors sprue.
I have added the spear to the Ork Boar Boyz I have been working on.
Next stage is an undercoat.
I have already got two painted BoarBoyz and I have started to model and paint another. I had already painted the boar and was intending to use the metal Warhammer Orc which I had bought, but in the end used the same plastic Orc legs from the Orc Warriors Command Sprue as the metal Warhammer Orc Boar rider was “too different” and in my mind would have looked out of place.
I wanted to give this rider a spear so decided to have the Shoota carried on the Ork’s back. Using green stuff I modelled a strap for the gun.
I am not that good with green stuff, but for a gaming model (this is no Golden Demon entry) it works for me.
Where’s the spear, well I haven’t stuck it on yet!
This is a shot of my Feral Ork vehicles on patrol in the desert.
I have been using Epic Armageddon Ork vehicles as Junkatrukks. This EA model was based on the old Flakwagon trukk.
Still have to do a lot more for the army, and still waiting for GW to release their Epic Feral Ork releases.
I have been adding some detailing to my Orc Ork conversions.
I have made the glyph on the back of the backplate neater (using black paint) and painted the wrist bands as well. The strip of bullets also got done as well.
Though I will be using them as Boyz, I will also use them as Huntas as part of an Feral Ork army.
I have been painting more of my Orc Ork conversions.
These 40K Boyz use parts from the Warhammer Fantasy Orc sprues.
