Chaos Great Unclean One at Warhammer World

The Great Unclean Ones are Nurgle’s mightiest daemons. Towering over their enemies, these living hillocks of rotting flesh lumber across the battlefield swinging their rusted weapons, vomiting streams of filth and unleashing diseased magics upon the foe.

These Chaos Great Unclean One models were on display at Warhammer World

Great Unclean Ones are terrifying when roused to wrath, wading through enemy ranks, crushing foes beneath their bulk and pulping survivors with their enormous swords and flails.

Some toll rusted summoning bells to draw forth fresh daemons, while others unleash terrible outbreaks of magical plague.

Mûmak

The armies of Harad often employ Mumakil, massive war-beasts trained by the Mahud, to trample their enemies under colossal hooves. A Mumak is nigh unstoppable once is begins its charge, tossing aside enemies like broken dolls.

This Mûmak was on display at Warhammer World.

The Mumak can break through an enemy line while Haradrim warriors rain deadly arrows from atop the howdah on its mighty back.

See more photographs of the Mûmak.

The miniature is based on those seen in the film version of Lord of the Rings, and is seen in the climatic battles in Return of the King.

Hawker Hurricane Mk IIc

The Hawker Hurricane is a British single-seat fighter aircraft of the 1930s–40s that was designed and predominantly built by Hawker Aircraft Ltd. for service with the Royal Air Force (RAF).

This Hawker Hurricane was on display at RAF Cosford.

It was overshadowed in the public consciousness by the Supermarine Spitfire’s role during the Battle of Britain in 1940, but the Hurricane inflicted 60 per cent of the losses sustained by the Luftwaffe in the engagement, and fought in all the major theatres of the Second World War.

Legio Custodes Ares Gunship at Warhammer World

The Ares is a potent terror weapon, bypassing enemy armies as it blazes over their lines in the shadow of its eclipse shields. Using its immensely destructive Arachnus magna-blaze cannon against the monuments and edifices which an enemy culture hold most dear to their hearts, it strikes a decisive blow against their will to wage war.

This heavily-armed super-heavy gunship is ideal for taking out large targets such as monsters and vehicles, and even packs enough of punch to take down the void shields of Titans. It is protected by its eclipse shield, making it nigh-on impervious to return fire.

Legio Custodes Orion Assault Dropship

A Legio Custodes Orion Assault Dropship on display at Warhammer World.

Created as a dedicated assault dropship for the Legio Custodes, the Orion can carry a full task force of the Emperor’s Talons into combat.

Protected by frontal armour superior to that of the Legiones Astartes Thunderhawk Gunship, its Arachnus heavy blaze cannon and Lastrum bolt cannon can swiftly clear a landing zone of hostile infantry and armour with brutal efficiency, allowing the units within to deploy before it soars back into the sky to unleash death upon any foe who dares approach.

Kharon Pattern Acquisitor

A Sisters of Silence Kharon Pattern Acquisitor at Warhammer World.

Kharon Pattern Acquisitor

Built to approach its targets silently and with utmost stealth, the Kharon Pattern Acquisitor is deliberately made to be a thing of mystery and terror when its presence is unveiled. Used primarily in a paramilitary role by the Sisters of Silence, it can suppress civilian resistance with lethal effect, its hellion cannon cutting through rampaging mobs and destroying makeshift barricades. Against greater threats, various payloads of missiles can be deployed, including sophisticated antipsyker warheads.

I always have thought as this as one of the pure SF models that you can get for the Imperium. Something which is more than tracks and armour of the Space Marine vehicles. It is a rather creepy model and a menacing addition to any tabletop.

Deimos Vindicator Laser Destroyer at Warhammer World

This Legiones Astartes Ultramarines Deimos Vindicator Laser Destroyer was on display in the cabinets at Warhammer World.

Tearing through the armour plating of enemy vehicles, the Vindicator laser destroyer array is a potent weapon of destruction. First retrofitted into the heavily armoured Deimos pattern Vindicator chassis during the dark days of the Horus Heresy, several Legions took to fielding this variant as a mainline battle tank, proving itself on many occasions as an able tank hunter. After millennia of brutal warfare across the galaxy, it is still in favour within the Space Marine Chapters, the Vindicator Laser Destructor continuing to bring retribution to the enemies of Mankind.

That is one BIG Titan

Revealed today for Adeptus Titanicus was the Warmaster Titan.

Warmaster Titan

This is a huge titan.

The Warmaster Titan is for those times when even a Warlord is not quite big enough. It’s armed with a revelator missile launcher and a pair of plasma destructors, meaning there’s nothing that can stand up to its devastating firepower.

Looking very nice.

MiG-21 Fishbed

This MiG-21 was from the Hungarian Air Force and is on display at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (NATO reporting name: Fishbed) is a supersonic jet fighter and interceptor aircraft, designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau in the Soviet Union.

There was also an Hungarian MiG-21PF at RAF Cosford.
