Kingdom of Britannia Naval Battle Group

Some more photographs of my finished Kingdom of Britannia Naval Battle Group, well nearly finished, I still need to do the planes.

HMS Richard III Ruler Class Battleship

The “sea” is a photograph printed out onto glossy photo paper, whilst the island is a Snapdragon Studio 1/300th scale SF Bunker.

Check out how I painted the models.

Prussian Empire – Dystopian Wars

Here are the first models I have painted (and completed) for Dystopian Wars. Here is the Prussian Empire Blucher Class Dreadnought, probably passing too close to a bunker complex.

Here are some Arminius Class Frigates passing the same bunker!

The bunker model is a 1/300th scale model from Snapdragon Studio.

Here is a close up of one of my Arminius Class Frigates.

More frigates.

More photographs of the Blucher Class Dreadnought.

See my Dystopian Wars Workbench, to see how I painted these models and what else I am painting.

Prussian Empire Blucher Class Dreadnought

Here are some shots of my finished Prussian Empire Blucher Class Dreadnought in “water”.

I used some full colour print outs of water textures, printed on glossy photo paper using a standard home inkjet printer.

The scenery is from Snapdragon Studios and is an 1/300th SF Bunker, but seems to fit in quite well.

See the full workbench feature on the Prussian Empire Blucher Class Dreadnought for Dystopian Wars.

Epic Imperials

These are some of my very old Epic miniatures from the 1990s.

Epic Imperials

This is one of the plastic Warlord Titans from Adeptus Titanicus. It has the Chaos head and red eyes, though in the main I used it as an Imperial Titan when playing games of Epic.

These are plastic Land Raiders and metal Dreadnoughts.

Epic Space Marine Battleforce

Epic Space Marine Battleforce advanced in front of an Imperial Manufactorium.

These are in the main metal Epic models. The Land Raiders and Vindicators are metal models (from the Epic 40000 era) however the Rhinos are plastic.

The buildings are from Snapdragon Studio and work really well in this scene.

No one told me…

Having started painting some Old West miniatures, I started to think about scenery. I remembered from years ago that Snapdragon Studio made some Old West Scenery. So let’s “Google” them. I did find them and found their wonderful Old West buldings, however I was also pleasantly surprised to see that Snapdragon had started to sell some of their 1/300th SF range again.

I was always a fan of  their buildings and have quite a few in my collection including this bunker.

Snapdragon Studio Bunker

Simon has one as well.

Snapdragon Studio Bunker

My Epic battle reports shows many of their buildings off (there are some Forge World ones in the reports as well).

Time to think about which buildings I am going to buy.

New Snapdragon Scenery…

My friend was very kind and gave (lent) me some Snapdragon scenery that had been hanging around some time…

A Factory complex of some kind.

I really like these Snapdragon buildings and it is a real pity that they don’t make them anymore.

Land Raiders on patrol during a storm

More digital trickery…

Land Raiders on patrol on a dark and stormy night. There are original plastic Land Raiders and a Snapdragon 6mm Bunker.

The first attempt was a little different (more harsh lines between the bunker and the sky).

The final version used a feathered edge.

So which one do you prefer?
