As well as the Ork Stormboyz Nob which I got at Warhammer World last month, I also got the Grot Oiler which is a mail order direct only model as well.
Very nice little model which will eventually be found on one of my Ork vehicles or the new Ork Trukk which comes out in January.
One of my Ork units I do like are my Stormboyz (even despite Simon calling them the Lipstick Boyz) however they are leaderless, until now!
Games Workshop do produce a Stormboyz Nob, however it is only available by mail order and not from their shops.
So when I was up in Nottingham recently I did get the Stormboyz Nob when I visited Warhammer World.
It is a nice model and will certainly give my Stormboyz mob a bit more punch.
One of the other things I recently purchased from Forgeworld were some Inquisitorial Rhino doors.
I will be using the side doors either on my Mk IIb Land Raider or the Repressor and the front on the Razorback.
In my recent order to Forgeworld I took the opportunity to order one of the etched brass pieces which Forgeworld have been selling over the last few years.
They are much smaller than you think they will be, just 4½” long.
However despite the smaller than expected size I was impressed with the quantity and quality of the designs.
I will be using them on my Repressor, Razorback and Mark IIb Land Raider.
I recently ordered some more Purity Seals from Forgeworld.
What I do like is the act that they are easy to cut out and use. I know it is possible to make your own using paper and Green Stuff, but for quality and ease of use, these Forgeworld ones are a winner for me. Oh and you get the skulls as well.
I used some Green Stuff to fill the gaps in my Repressor’s ill fitting top.
Need to tidy up the filling a little bit.
I have been painting the purity seals on my Grey Knights.
I used a light brown foundation paint for the paper of the seals and the red for the wax and then highlighted with normal Citadel colour.
I also took the opportunity to add some “burn” weathering to the flamer.
I have also been tidying up the armour connectors and painting them in Chaos Black over the drybrushed Boltgun Metal in order to make the armour look a little smarter and neater.
It’s getting there, but I better get the crew done soon.
I am making some progress on my Grey Knights Landspeeder. Having done the purity seals I painted the skulls with a light brown foundation paint, I will be highlighting these with bleached bones.

Having finished off the red wax on my Grey Knights Landspeeder I set about adding writing to the paper parts of the purity seals.
I used a watered down Chaos Black for the writing.
I am okay with the end result, but would have liked to have done some finer writing, so I may try again.
I also took the opportunity to paint the Inquisitorial book on the front with a red foundation paint.
This needs some tidying up as well.
My Daemonhunters Inquisitor is going to have an entourage, one of whom will be an Inquisitor Acolyte. I started this model sometime ago, but have (as with all my Daemonhunters models) been revisting them in mind to get them finished.
At this stage I had done some work.
I painted the parchment and books with Bleached Bone and highlighted with Skull White.
This is the rear view.
I did start to highlight the cloak, but this didn’t work out too well so the paint was quickly removed, it looked too pink!
