Ork Flakk Wagon

I think my favourite model from GamesDay 2008 was Forge World’s Ork Flakk Wagon.

We first saw the Forge World Ork Flakk Wagon at GamesDay 2008, still no sign of it been available. It was also on show at the Forge World Open Day 2009.

Still looking good. Wondering though when it will become available?

From a gaming perspective it can’t really be considered too important as I guess not too many gamers use aircraft in their games (but hey you never know).

From a model perspective it is just a conversion kit, it is not a full resin kit.

I really do like the way it looks, very Orky.

I also like it, because it means that Forge World are making more Ork stuff.

So what’s going to be next?

Torchwood

Tonight sees the return of Torchwood.

Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones return for a brand-new adventure in Torchwood: Children Of Earth, a new five-part series for BBC One.

Unlike previous series, this takes place over the next five nights.

An ordinary day becomes a world of terror as every single child in the world stops. A message is sent to all the governments of Earth: ‘We are coming’. But as a trap closes around Captain Jack, sins of the past are returning, as long-forgotten events from 1965 threaten to reveal an awful truth.

Looking forward to it.

Mark IIb Land Raider

Having given my Mark IIb Land Raider a black undercoat, it needed a second coat.

This is to be a Grey Knights Land Raider, though I may use it now and again as an Inquisitor transport. Next stage will be the basecoat.

I did like the Epic Ork Landa when it came out. This is mine alongside a Forge World gunwagon.

I have been thinking for some time about making my own Ork Landa for my Warhammer 40K Ork forces, but kind of never really got around to it.

Metal Deffkopta

Though I am growing to like the new plastic Deffkoptaz, I still prefer the metal ones. This is my first one as it flies across the battlefield.

I even modelled them with bombz, before they were included in the rules in the new codex. That’s a Steve Barber Town Hall in the background.

Grey Knight Librarian

The greatest threat to the Imperium of Man is, and has always been, the followers of Chaos and the foul daemons of the Warp. The Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus, the Daemonhunters, are at war with forces too terrible to comprehend and, together with the holy warriors of the Grey Knights, they must take the light of the Emperor into the darkness. The threat of the daemonic is so great that only these heroic warriors have the necessary skills and knowledge to stand against such diabolical foes.

I am slowly building up my Grey Knights army.

I purchased the new Space Marine Librarian in Terminator armour as I really do like the model and for me will certainly fit into my Grey Knights army with all the books and purity seals. Obviously it is quite expensive for a single model, but then when has Games Workshop ever made “cheap” models.

Nice model and nice that all the weapon options are included. The model comprises three castings, once I had put these together I gave the model a black undercoat.

A very ornate model, will be fun to paint.
