This wonderful Fantasy Observatory was on display at GamesDay 2006.

I have a few of these cars, I initially thought they were Austins but not so sure.
As with some of my other metal models I can’t remember the manufacturer of these. After a bit of internet research I believe it is an old SDD miniature. Not convinced totally, but other miniatures in the box it was in carry SDD codes.
I have given these models a not very good white undercoat.
My intention is to use them as transports for the Home Guard or for scenic purposes. I wonder if any manufacturer out there makes 15mm (1/100th) scale 1930s French cars?
At GamesDay 2005 Forge World showed off their fantastic Anphelion Base diorama that used their then new buildings. They also had the scenery on display at their Forge World Open Day.
Wonderfully creative Orc watchtower from the displays at GamesDay 2006.
More photographs of fantasy scenery.
This wonderful Fantasy building was on display at GamesDay 2006. There is some wierd undead type thing on the roof.
Don’t remember the manufacturer. I have painted this model. I gave the model a black undercoat, I then started to paint it with dark grey.
I really don’t like this model, it doesn’t look right and seems well out of proportion. The detail is quite out of scale too. My intention is to use it for scenery.
As well as putting together an Ork Fort I also using a similar technique to build an Ork Fuel Depot. Using parts from the Stompa kit and Cities of Death Manufactorium I added more detail to the Depot.
See the full workbench feature on the fuel depot. However at this stage it is probably going to be just an ordinary fort now.
This ruined tower was on display at GamesDay 2006.
I think it was one of those one off pieces that GW was doing around that time, made from hard expanded polystryrene that was then sold pre-painted.
I think it is a nice piece of scenery and if I was a regular player of Warhammer Fantasy at that time I would have bought it. It would also suit other systems such as Flintloque.
See my fantasy scenery gallery.
Having gone back to my Ork Fort I decided to give the roof floor a wash of brown ink.
Now I have done this, I will drybrush the floor of the roof of the fort to highlight the detail. I will then add further washes and use some Forge World weathering powders to show a more used and worn look.
As for the walls of the fort, these I will wash, drybrush and weather, but not as heavy as the roof floor.
Still lots to do.
