Pictures from an old Epic battle report

I have lots of pictures on my website which cover a range of different eras, ranges and scales.

It can be quite difficult to find what you might find interesting (and as a webmaster it is quite difficult to decide where to put things). I do have a few battle reports on my website which are quite different to the photographs I usually take, but show a series of photographs from a game.

These pictures are an example of one of my Epic battle reports.

Here Ork fighters attack a detachment of Imperial Baneblade super heavy tanks.

Here an Ork Gargant and a motorised Ork detachment advance.

More pictures from the report here.

Ork forces in the desert

Here is a group shot of my desert style Ork vehicles.

Ork armoured vehicles on the move

There are a real mix of old and new models, metal and resin.

As you can see I have followed *fashion* and I have based the miniatures which has its advantages and disadvantages.

Epic Ork Trukks

I have since photographing these got some more brown paints from GW so I can continue the brown theme but maintain a distinctness between the vehicles.

Lungburstaz on patrol

Though not quite finished, here are my Lungburstaz which after their base coat have had a wash of Chestnut Ink, Scorched Brown and water.

Epic Lungbursta

One of the things about these older models is that they are made with a softer metal, which though great for conversions is susceptible to knocks and even just pressure. I caused a few mishaps with mine when I was getting them off the wood stick I had glued them to.

I do like the Lungbursta model and I am pleased to see you can still get it.

Feral Ork Heavy Bomber for Epic Armageddon

A flying squiggoth type thing…

Using a Warhammer Fantasy Battle Lizardman Terradon I am going to convert it into an Epic Armageddon Feral Ork Heavy Bomber.

The basic concept will have a howdah on top and bombs and stuff attached to the wings.

I have now stuck the little beasty together.

Epic Forgeworld Ork Gunwagons Update

n a previous entry I showed off a couple of my painted Epic Forgeworld Ork Gunwagons, I was not happy with one of them. You can see the original paint job in the picture below.

Epic Forgeworld Ork Gunwagons

I put it down to the checks, but then someone on EpiComms mentioned they didn’t like the green panel, so I have now painted over it.

In my mind it now looks a little better.

More Epic Forgeworld Ork Gunwagons

hough I have already painted some of the Epic Forgeworld Ork Gunwagons, I am currently painting some more.

They started with a white undercoat and then I sprayed the bottom with black paint to seal in the resin.

These are very detailed models and well worth getting and very good value (compared to the metal models from GW) at £5 for three.

I also like the weapons on them and it is worth getting them I think just to get the guns for conversions.
