Deimos Pattern Whirlwind Scorpius

An ancient variant of the more common Whirlwind missile tank, the Scorpius was designed with a single purpose in mind – the destruction of heavily armoured infantry.

The Scorpius variant replaces the Whirlwind’s multiple missile launcher system with the intricate drum-fed scorpius launcher, whose implosive warheads are devastating to armoured infantry and light vehicles.

The Whirlwind Scorpius’ origins lie in the dark days of the first inter-Legion civil war and, in more recent times, it has become an all but forgotten relic amongst some Chapters as the ability to manufacture its complex munitions has become a forgotten art, but for other Chapters it still remains a potent weapon of war.

The Battle of Osgiliath

This amazing diorama was on display at Warhammer World.

The Battle of Osgiliath in the War of the Ring occurred at the ruined city of Osgiliath, shortly before the Siege of Gondor. The Orcs in East Osgiliath had been secretly constructing massive numbers of boats and rafts, and swelled with reinforcements from Harad they swarmed across the River Anduin to Gondor’s positions on the other bank. After heavy fighting, the garrison under Faramir and his troops were forced to flee, first to the Rammas Echor, which held out for a day and then to Minas Tirith itself.

Sons of Horus Sicaran Battle Tank

This Sons of Horus Sicaran Battle Tank was in the displays at Warhammer World.

The Sicaran, a formidable weapon in the Legiones Astartes arsenal, is a swift-moving destroyer tank capable of outflanking enemies and delivering devastating mid-range firepower. Despite its many variants, the core Sicaran battle tank remains a popular choice. Equipped with Herakles-pattern accelerator autocannons, it delivers a relentless barrage of high-velocity fire, capable of shredding both infantry and vehicles. Its advanced sensors allow it to track agile targets and identify weaknesses in enemy armor.

The Siege of the Craw

This Warhammer: Age of Sigmar diorama was on display at Warhammer World. It was created in 2021.

In the Realm of Beasts, the hordes of Destruction ferociously attack the Craw, a vault fashioned long ago to contain a vast arsenal of powerful weapons and relics. In their way stand the  Hallowed Knights, faithful champions of the God-King Sigmar. As the heroic Stormcast Eternals take up their defensive positions for a valiant last stand, they are joined by the reptilian Seraphon, creatures of pure Order. But can even this alliance withstand Kragnos’ wrath?

Bretonnian Battle Pilgrims

These fanatical Battle Pilgrims follow Grail Knights into battle.

Their wish is to bask in the glory of the knights as they fight and die on the battlefields of the Old World.

They have a burning passion for glory, so will follow their idols, praise their words, rejoice in their acts of heroism, regardless of weather and geography.

These are metal castings.

Magnir’s Crag

Magnir’s Crag is (now) quite an old diorama that has been around at GamesDay 2009 and then into Warhammer World.

A nightmarish tendril of Hive Fleet Behemoth has descended upon an ancient fortress of the Space Wolves. The alien monstrosities are held at bay by the dauntless warriors of Fenris, but for every horror slain, a dozen take its place.

This display was originally made by the Design Studio for Games Day 2009, then displayed in Warhammer World, and now has been restored and updated by the Warhammer World Studio team. Magnir’s Crag has been updated with a variety of newer kits, such as Thunderwolf Cavalry, the Venerable Space Wolf Dreadnought and the Tyranid Trygon.
