Snakebitez Ork Boar Boyz

This week Games Workshop announced the release of some new Orc Boar Boyz for Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

Orc Boar Boyz are rough, tough and very determined. They ride into battle atop War boars – evil-minded creatures that will take every opportunity to maim, bite and kick the enemy of their Orc masters. Boar Boyz are the shock cavalry of an Orc and Goblin army, and they love nothing better that to gore, stamp and inflict damage on the enemy.

These are very nice looking plastic miniatures.

I can’t be the only Warhammer 40,000 Ork player looking at these new models and thinking time to add some Boar Boyz for my Feral Orks.

I have done this before with some other Warhammer Fantasy Orc Boar Riders.

Orcs & Goblins coming in May

orcandgoblin2010

Warhammer Fantasy Orcs and Goblins are coming in May.

Orcs & Goblins are the scourge of the Warhammer world, an unending tide of ferocious raiders. For every greenskin Waaagh! defeated on the field of battle, another arises to trample a swathe of destruction across the land. Orcs and Goblins live to fight!

Orcs & Goblins are one of the most popular Warhammer armies and it’s not difficult to see why: they can field warriors of all shapes and sizes from tiny Snotlings to Giants, and every shape of Orc and Squig in-between. They have access to a bizarre array of war machines and mounts, and some of the most entertaining special rules of any Warhammer army.

Just from the above from GW, I would suspect that we may see new Boar Boyz, Squig Riders, more Orc war machines. Could be some useful stuff for Feral Ork players.

I wonder if we will see a plastic Squiggoth?

GamesDay 2007 Limited Edition

I have always felt that if I pay £25 for a ticket into GamesDay I should get at least one miniature free.

Back in the good old days I do remember getting a goody bag, one which sticks in my mind contained a free Kroot sprue.

Now I know I could queue for (what seems like an age) and try one of the modelling stands and get some free plastic miniatures, but this year the queues were horrendous, last year I made a tree stand.

Every year (for a fair few years now) Games Workshop have released a limited edition Games Day miniature which is an additional cost to the price of the ticket.

By the way does it count as a limited edition if you can buy last years limited edition at this year’s show at a discount!

This year’s limited edition was an orc and a goblin, and yes I did buy it.

I am intending to use it with my feral orks, looks like a nice model.
