Stormboyz

I have finished sticking my Ork Stormboyz together.

The models which come as a multi-part plastic and metal kit have also had components from the Orc Warriors Warhammer sprue used.

They have now being undercoated black. Their jump packs have been undercoated white and I am painting them separately (hence they are glued to a strip of thick plasticard as shown here before being undercoated).

I am intending to paint the jump packs in reds and yellows.

The jump packs in my mind would make excellent large rockets for Epic Armageddon, however at £2 each they are quite expensive, if you wanted a large number it would be cheaper to buy the Stormboyz boxed set!

Ork with Rokkit Launcha

This is a conversion I have done of an Ork with Rokkit Launcha.

It is a plastic Ork Boyz model, then using a Shoota and sticking a metal grenade (from the Stormboyz set) in the end, making it look very much like a panzerfaust. The head is also from the Stormboyz set.

Epic Forgeworld Ork Gunwagon with armoured top…

I finally got round to undercoating the underneath of my Forgeworld Gunwagons.

After finding out that acrylic paint would not adhere to the raw resin I knew I needed to undercoat them.

Feral Ork Boar Boyz nearly finished…

As you can see my Feral Ork Boar Boyz are nearly finished.

Though I think I am going to need more than two…

Ork Airfield Defence Force* airfield vehicles

I have done the metallic parts of the vehicles in black.

I am using the same basing structure as my Epic Feral Orks to allow the models to be used with either army.

* I know a more Orkish name would be more in keeping with the fluff…

Ork Objective a little bit further…

In a previous post some time ago, I posted how I was building an Ork objective for Epic Armageddon.

I haven’t got much further, but here is a photo of how far I have got.

Still some way to go and I think it will look better once it is painted.

Stormboyz

This is a relatively new unit under construction.

These models rely heavily on the plastic Ork sprue and I am also using components from the Orc Warhammer sprue.

They still have a long way to go.

Ork Lootas with Heavy Bolter and Multi-Melta…

These are Orks who have looted Imperial weaponry. Not only can they use Space Marine weapons they can also take the transport option…

These are conversion using spare weapons from an Imperial Landspeeder.

One of the issues is that they are Heavy Support and with my Killa Kans, Big Gunz, Grot Bomb Launchas and Squiggoth, I don’t really have any spare Heavy Support slots, so I may use these models as Flash Gitz.
