Chaos Land Raiders

Digging through some old Epic models I found these conversions…

I was digging about in my model boxes when I found these conversions I had done in the 1990s.

Epic Chaos Land Raiders

They were made from the original SM era plastic Land Raider models with metal titan weapons.

The paint job is a bit below my usual standard, they were painted red, given an ink wash and then blacklined with a pen.

Unfortunately over time they have picked up some fluff….

Ork Trukk, undercoated and drybrushed

I have done more work done on my Ork Trukk.

Here is a picture of the Trukk now undercoated.

As you can see I also added a spare tyre. The front of the back section which normally is at an angle has been glued in vertically, this will make it look “slightly” different to the other Trukk.

The frontal armour plate was undercoated white as it will be painted red.

The whole model was then drybrushed with Tin Bitz and Boltgun Metal.

This can be somewhat messy and as you can see I will need to go over the tyres again.

This shot shows the spanner and the red frontal armour plate.

New Warhammer 40K battle report added to website…

This was an interesting game. Simon had just finished his 40K scale Forgeworld Valkyrie and wanted to use it in a game. Knowing his “luck” I expected that the Valkyrie would fly in and one of my grots would take a shot and shoot it down… at which point Simon would be slightly annoyed!

Therefore I created this scenario which has forty Imperial Guard, with Heavy Weapons, a Tarantula Sentry Gun but no tanks. They would be dug into one end of the table and their objective was to get at least twenty troops off the table.

They would be taken off table by a flight of Valkyries that would fly in, strafe the Orks before landing, allowing the Imperial Guard to embark and fly off.

My Orks job to stop all this!

See the report.

Feral Ork Boar Rider

As you may recall from a previous posting I am in the process of making some Feral Ork Boar Boyz using parts from the Warhammer Fantasy Battle Orc Warriors and the 40K Ork Boyz sprues.

Here is a picture of the newly constructed model.

I may add some reins and add a few other features.

I have avoided using the regular rectangular base and opted for the 40mm round base.

Ork Objectives

Still looking for ideas…

Out there quite a few people are building objectives for games of Epic Armageddon, a good example of this is the Dropship website.

I have decided to make some Ork objectives, so far I have started on a watchtower and am aiming to make a few more such as a crashed spaceship, a large Krooz Missile, a junk heap, and a Gargant (half-made or semi-destroyed – is there a difference).
