Another one of the Wargames Foundry Old West figures I found. This is one of the Pinkerton Men from the OW9/1 Shootists set. I based the model on a two pence piece. I “flocked” the base with Citadel Sand and then gave the model a white undercoat using a Citadel Skull White spray can.
Using Chaos Black I then painted the model’s hat, shoes and pistol.
Sheriff McQuaige is part of the OW11/6 Town Toughs & Staunch Defenders pack. As the Sheriff is wearing a suit, as well as carrying a shotgun, he could be used in Victorian Science Fiction scenarios. He certainly could be walking the streets of London as well as the dusty tracks of the old west.

I have nearly finished painting Ned Buck.
I gave the model a wash of Citadel Agrax Earthshade.
The next stage will be some highlighting and getting the base finished.

Cemetery Sam is part of OW11/7 The Town Vigilance Committee one of the packs of Old West miniatures from Foundry.
I based the model on a two pence piece. I do like this model, and I think it could also be used for Victorian Science Fiction scenarios.

Next stage will be more basecoat.
In addition to the Bolt Action Citroen Civilian 1000kg Dropside Truck I also bought a slightly bigger truck, the Citroen Civilian 4,500kg Truck with Canopy.
Citroen made many of these trucks in the 1930s and 1940s.
The pack contains a resin and metal kit, this is a nice clean casting.

I decided that my partisan band for Bolt Action might need some transport, so did I think about getting an armoured car, well I did think about getting a Char B1, but in the end I got the Warlord Games Bolt Action Citroen Civilian 1000kg Dropside Truck.
The model comes in a blister pack and comprises a clean resin casting and some metal components.
As with many models I like to see what the original vehicle looked like and also what others have done with their models. The original Citroen truck was derived from a car.
I have always found painting civiliian vehicles slightly troublesome, military vehicles are usually very drab, matt and weathered. Civillian trucks however are “colourful”.
So hoping some people have some useful ideas or methods they would like to share in the comments.

We know from the previous trailer that the Falcon is still around.

I am pleased to read around the web, avoiding spoilers mind you, that they have taken a more “traditional” approach to filming, harkening back to the original trilogy of films and where possible avoiding CGI. Though I suspect this shot does use a little bit of CGI…
