We first saw the Forge World Ork Flakk Wagon at GamesDay 2008, still no sign of it been available now. It was on show at the Forge World Open Day 2009.
Still looking good. Wondering though when it will become available?
I hadn’t planned on going to the Forge World Open Day, if I had I wouldn’t have turned up at 3.30pm with only thirty minutes left…
But I was on my way to York and decided to stop off on the way and have a look at what was new and what was planned. Over the next few days I will post more photographs, but here are a few of the things I saw and I really liked.
Will Hayes has been working on some ideas for Ork Trukks and additional weapons and these looked really nice and would add variety to any Ork army which uses Trukks.
Also on display was the big cannon for the Ork Battlewagon.
What impressed me though were the Khorne Slaughterers.
I am not a great fan of Chaos, but these Forge World models are starting to make me think differently.
Forge World’s excellent Eldar Revenant Titan on display at GamesDay 2004.
I am never sure whether I like this model or not. Don’t get me wrong the paint job (by George Dellapina if I remember correctly) is excellent. I do like the sculpting, the lines and the pose. I guess my problem is that for the Warhammer 40K universe it looks too light footed, too flimsy, too featherweight!
But then again I am not an Eldar player so what do I know?
A larger sub species of the Knarloc riding beast. These ferocious creatures are native to the jungles of Pech and are herded into combat by Kroot Goaders.
Taken at Bristol Conflict in 2004, see more pictures from that show.
