The following photograph gives you some idea of the comparative size between the Forgeworld Ork flyers and the original Epic 40K versions.
As you can see the Forgeworld model (even without the wings or tail) is substantially larger than the Epic 40K model.
I much prefer the more in-scale version, though I was quite the fan of the Epic40K models.

It is exquisite and superbly sculptured, lots of fine detail and it is also rather huge!

As seen in a previous entry, Forgeworld have released some Epic scale Ork Bommers.
Carl Woodrow has (and as may be expected) already got some and painted them and put pictures on his website.
Mine arrived in the post today.
They are very finely detailed kits with lots of pieces.
This is a picture of the Forgeworld Sisters of Battle Repressor that I took at the recent Bristol Conflict event.
Though I do like the Witch Hunters army concept, as I still have quite a bit of work to do on my Daemonhunters army before I even start on a Witch Hunters army. Having said that I have always thought the Repressor is a really nice model and would make a decent transport for Inquisitorial Stormtroopers.
If I do get a Repressor I would probably add extra armour, but use homemade armour using mesh rather than the Forgeworld armour kits.
Also Forgeworld do make nice Inquisitorial doors for the Rhino which would work well on the Repressor.

Wanted to use main weapons on Squiggoths…
Here is a potential conversion of the Forgeworld Epic Ork Gunwagon which has had the main weapon replaced by a Ork Buggy Gunner.
This is a very simple conversion which will look even better once it is painted.
I may add another gunner to the model to make it more “crowded”.
As you may have read in the recent Forgeworld newsletter, they will be releasing an epic version of their Giant Squiggoth.
It is a wonderful sculpt and I have always liked the 40K version, but never had the £200 it cost.
It is perfect for my Feral Ork Army and I can’t wait until they come out.
It’s fantastic and hats off to Daniel Cockersell for a fantastic miniature.
These have been sitting around since I undercoated them (doing other stuff), however when I did undercoat them I didn’t undercoat the underneath (rarely do with metal models). Started the black parts when I realised that the underneath (which was fresh resin) would not accept the acrylic paint I was using.
It looks like I will be forced to undercoat the underneath before I can continue with the paint job.
