I have also dug out my hold Harlequin Dr Who miniatures, and one day I may get round to painting them…

The overall conclusion of most historians (and what if experts) is that Sealion could never have succeeded… having said that the whole what if of Sealion makes for interesting games.
In the past I had quite a few games with Home Guard versus German paratroopers, great fun.
I once wrote an alternative Sealion, Otaire de Vigneur, the French invasion of England circa 1940. Though the french strategy of eclair was never taken seriously by British officers in the field.
If you consider the logistics of D-Day, the allies built two ports (Mulberry), the Germans would have had to capture an English port.
Second World War bunker on the West Somerset Railway…
I was quite lucky to catch a picture of this…
stuck the camera out of the window and snapped a shot as the train passed Dunster Castle.
This (I presume) Second World War bunker (or pillbox) was very likely built to defend the railway from German attack. From what I could see it was in pretty good condition.

These are my two Orks in Mega-Armour.
They are quite nasty and dangerous individuals and have caused quite a few headaches for my opponent.

This is a variant Imperial Guard Hellhound.
The main addition is the trailer which is, as most people can guess, from the Ork Skorcha model.
The new rules for Hellhounds in the latest Imperial Guard Codex certainly make them more threatening then before.
This is a very simple conversion.
Ork Trukk with Krooz Missulz (aka an Orkish version of the Imperial Deathstrike Missile Launcher, but why not use the Krooz Missulz rules for the Mega-Gargent. The model is built using a Flakwagon base, a firing platform from a Pulsa Rokitt and the Krooz Missulz, well it’s a 40k scale Fighta-Bommer Missile.
I have now finished Settling Accounts – Return Engagement which has just been published in the USA and available in the UK from Amazon.
It is a very good book and a great read. As per usual the book ends…. well that would be spoiling things so no comment!
It is a fascinating alternate history and shows how lucky the USA was in our world in avoiding war been fought on the continental United States with the horrors of Blitzkreig and blanket bombing.
There are quite a few gaming opportunities available for this alternate history.

Mentioned in the current UK issue (297) of White Dwarf…
In this month’s White Dwarf is an article on a new Warmaster army, an Araby army complete with camels, elephants and flying carpets.
It made be realise how behind I was on Warmaster as I knew there were quite a few requests for an Araby army, but I didn’t realise how far the concept had come along.
As I am so far behind in painting any of my Warmaster armies I doubt I will be buying an Araby army, but I might do what I did with the Lizardmen and buy a few units I like and paint them up.
I have undercoated my Forgeworld Ork Bommerz.
They are in white as I intend to use an orange colour which is not good at covering black.
