These are Tyranid Warriors from the Tyranid display at GamesDay 2005.
Nicely painted.
warhammer, wh40k, flames of war, bolt action, aeronautica imperialis, star wars, models, news, views and stuff
I have made some more progress with my Ork Bommer.
I have blacklined the creases, drybrushed with Tin Bitz and Boltgun Metal.
I am painting the panels with Vomit Brown (and a few other shades).
It will then be given an ink/paint wash, drybrushed and highlighted. This shot shows a more completed model with some of the cockpit done.
Hopefully it will look nice when I have finished. I do regret not doing a detailed cockpit, but originally I purchased this model for Epic as a super heavy bomber!
I am re-watching first season of the X-Files…
I am currently enjoyed (again) the first few episode of season one of the X-Files. I remember the first time I watched it and thought then as I do now that the X-Files was a very influential piece of television.
The first season (as with most first seasons) lacked the charm and sosphistication of later seasons, but the first few episodes have all the elements that made the X-Files the success it came to be.
I enjoyed Deep Throat (episode 2) and the pilot, whereas Squeeze still makes me squirm a little.
If you have the chance do watch it again.
Games Workshop had their new Dwarfs (out this month) on show at GamesDay 2005.
These are the Dwarf Heroes or Lords.
A close up of one of them.
A close up of another.
And one more.

I actually like these and may get some (I have a few Dwarf miners which I painted in the last few years).
My friend was very kind and gave (lent) me some Snapdragon scenery that had been hanging around some time…
This is a tank factory (or aerospace port).
A power station (or atmosphere processor aka ALIENS).
A Factory complex of some kind.
I really like these Snapdragon buildings and it is a real pity that they don’t make them anymore.
