The quality of the painting always impresses me and though it looks great in photographs, nothing really beats seeing these beautiful models in the “flesh”.

A wonderfully painted Chaos Soul Grinder, which really captures the fusing of daemon and machine into a machine of war
From the dark bowels of the Forge of Souls come all manner of hideous and unholy weapons. By means of the perverse technologies of the artisans of Chaos, daemonic energies are fused with arcane metals to create potent weapons and talismans, to be used by the Daemons in their eternal warfare. Greatest of all such constructs are the dreaded Soul Grinders – a fusion of the most powerful daemonic entities with machines of war. In battle, Soul Grinders form the armoured spearhead of the daemonic hosts, using their massive firepower to hammer the enemy lines, covering the rank-and-file troops of the Dark Gods as they close in with the enemy.

A fantasy village from a Warhammer demonstration game at GamesDay 2010 and was also on show in Warhammer World.. Buildings based on the Warhammer plastic chapel and watchtower and fortified Manor House.
It also uses the plastic Realm of Battle gameboards and the plastic walls and fences.
From the display at Warhammer World was this fantastic Eldar Avatar.
Every craftworld is home to an Eldar Avatar who sits motionless until the call to arms begins. He is the embodiment of an ancient God, molten iron flowing through his veins. In his right he carries the Wailing Doom, the weapon of the bloodstained God which cries for the taste of mortal flesh.
The painter has created a wonderful fire energy effect beneath the armour, the Avatar looks like it is brimming with plasma or something equally powerful.
Here is a photograph of a Vostroyan Imperial Guard Baneblade from the display cabinets at Warhammer World.
I do like the paint job on this model.
More photographs of Imperial Guard Baneblade super heavy tanks.
This is The Fortress of Redemption on display in Warhammer World.
The Fortress of Redemption is an indomitable fortress, a towering bulwark against the ravages of planetary invasion. First used by the Dark Angels of the Adeptus Astartes, these unyielding fortresses have since been used by every military force in the Imperium of Man, and have proved invaluable in the war against disorder. A nigh on unassailable stronghold, the Fortress of Redemption bristles with weaponry, a missile silo and two bunker annexes.
This is quite a “constrained” piece of scenery in that it is very specific terrain piece that has, in my opinion, little use outside a Dark Angels army. If this had been a non-specific Space Marine chapter fortress I am sure I would have bought one, as I suspect many others would as well. Having said that I do like the fact that Games Workshop as well as producing non-specific terrain also makes specific terrain.
