Siege of Volganoff
The Siege of Volganoff was originally displayed as the Siege of Altdorf at Games Day 2010 and was then put into place at Warhammer World in 2015. A few years later it was reduced in size. The Chaos forces were replaced with Orcs and the the “new” diorama was entitled the Siege of Volganoff.
The diorama has changed quite a bit over the years. More photographs of the Siege of Volganoff.

KX139 Ta’unar Supremacy Armour
T’au Supremacy armour is larger than any other current class of battlesuit. It is intended to meet a threat that the T’au Empire has not yet prepared for; the defence of worlds within their growing domain from the counter-expansion forces of other races.
Lacking the manoeuvrability of other battlesuits, the KX139 Ta’unar Supremacy Armour was designed for static defence, carrying massively destructive, long range weapons.
The T’au Heavy Rail Cannon Array is the most powerful armament yet developed to be mounted on the KX139 Ta’unar Supremacy Armour without structural damage being incurred from its use. It was created to eliminate the toughest enemy targets at extreme range.
T’au KV128 Stormsurge
This T’au KV128 Stormsurge was on display at Warhammer World.

An absolute colossus of a machine, piloted by graduates of the Ves’oni’Vash, the KV128 Stormsurge is designed as an extreme heavy-weapons platform. Not as manoeuvrable as a Riptide, instead relying on thick armour and devastating loadouts, these hulking, squat ballistic suits are capable of changing the course of a battle in seconds with a decisive volley of astonishing firepower. Fitted with thrusters to counter recoil, bristling with pulse weaponry and missile pods, the Stormsurge is the T’au Empire’s Titan-killer.
Skink Oracle on Troglodon
Skink Oracles are conduits of celestial magic, blessed with a portion of the slann’s magical might. They are the only skinks capable of taming the foul troglodons, directing these loathsome beasts to slake their hunger on the enemies of the Seraphon. Troglodons track their prey with venom-flecked tongues, spitting deadly poison and healing from dire wounds in moments.
Glaive Super-Heavy Special Weapons Tank
The Glaive Super-Heavy Special Weapons Tank is a variant of the Fellblade.
The Glaive Super-Heavy Special Weapons Tank is a fearsome weapon of the Legiones Astartes, a mobile artillery platform capable of devastating enemy forces from a distance.
Its imposing hull is clad in thick armour that can withstand even the heaviest enemy fire, while its powerful engines allow it to move swiftly across the battlefield.
The Glaive’s primary armament is a massive Volkite Carronade, it is designed to destroy xenos beasts and incinerate enemy light vehicles at a single sweep.
The Glaive’s crew is protected by a multi-layered armor system and a reinforced cockpit, ensuring their survival even in the most intense combat. This formidable war machine is a symbol of the Legiones Astartes’ unwavering determination and their unwavering commitment to the defense of the Imperium.
The Battle for Angelus Prime
The Battle for Angelus Prime was a massive diorama at Warhammer World, which was in a huge room.
The primary action of the War for Sanctoria campaign was fought in Sanctoria’s capital city of Angelus Prime. The entire might of the Ultramarines Chapter and their allies among the Grey Knights, the Knights of House Terryn and the Titans of the Legio Astorum stood against the bloodthirsty hordes of the Blood God Khorne.
Much blood was spilled, as the Ultramarines made their last stand against the followers of Khorne on the holy ground of Angelus Prime’s cathedral dedicated to the Ultramarines Primarch. Yet in the end, the Ultramarines prevailed once more, and Chapter Master Marneus Calgar personally banished An’ggrath to the Warp.
Lumineth Realm-Lords at Warhammer World
At Warhammer World there were lots of Age of Sigmar models in the display cabinets. One of the many forces on display was the Lumineth Realm-Lords.
This is Hurakan Spirit of the Wind, a powerful and mobile archer.
This is Avalenor, the Stoneheart King, he is part monster, part hero, all force of nature! Capable of defeating powerful opponents.

Imperial Guard Rogal Dorn Battle Tank

There were quite a few Imperial Guard Rogal Dorn Battle Tank models on display at Warhammer World. As well as the display cabinets, some have been added to various existing displays, notably the Imperial Guard parade.

The Rogal Dorn Battle Tank is larger than the standard Leman Russ battle tank. A huge tank that provides support for the infantry of the Imperial Guard.
This Rogal Dorn Battle Tank is armed with a twin battle cannon that provides a a high volume fire.

This variant has an oppressor cannon with a co-axial autocannon mounted on its side.

I quite like the model, which certainly has an Imperial Guard feel to it and fits in well with other Imperial Guard armoured vehicles. We’ve not seen any variants for it at this time, well in the heyday of Forge World we would have seen alternate turrets, or the hull used as the basis for different kinds of armoured vehicles. Thinking it might be a good platform for a real large missile.
The model did cause some negative feedback from modellers, who didn’t like the fact that the model did not have an underside.
When it came out I did wonder about it in this blog post back in October 2022.
I do wonder why they decided to design a completely new tank. I suspect it might be that attempting to recreate an existing resin model in plastic was challenging, and to ensure that the sprues would fit in the box they needed to start from scratch.
Well since then Games Workshop have released a plastic version of the Malcador. I am now wondering if we will see a plastic Macharius tank?
