Plastic Grey Knight Terminator

I had both a Grey Knights Terminator with Psycannon and a regular Grey Knights Terminator. These were metal models, which went together very easily. I had given them both a black undercoat. I decided I would then give them a basecoat of Leadbelcher. I has forgotten how dark Leadbelcher can be, probably exacerbated by the black undercoat as well. Wondering if I should get a lighter metallic spray for the Grey Knights armour.

I also had a plastic Terminator, which I followed a similar painting process to the metal models. This was a black undercoat and then a spray of Leadbelcher.

I will use this as a test model and use paint to see the end result. If it doesn’t work then I will strip both the metal terminators and the librarian as well.

Grey Knight Terminator with Psycannon

One of my Christmas presents (from last year) was a Grey Knight Terminator with a Psycannon.

The model went together very nicely. I used Citadel sand on the base and resin and slate from the Warhammer 40000 Basing Kit. I then gave the model a black undercoat.

The next stage will be a basecoat of Boltgun Metal.

Workbench feature on the Grey Knight Terminator with Psycannon.

One of the issues of being one of the slowest painters in the world is that when you eventually do paint the models, you can find that they have been replaced by newer plastic versions, which sometimes are better, sometimes not, but usually different…

Grey Knight Librarian

The greatest threat to the Imperium of Man is, and has always been, the followers of Chaos and the foul daemons of the Warp. The Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus, the Daemonhunters, are at war with forces too terrible to comprehend and, together with the holy warriors of the Grey Knights, they must take the light of the Emperor into the darkness. The threat of the daemonic is so great that only these heroic warriors have the necessary skills and knowledge to stand against such diabolical foes.

I am slowly building up my Grey Knights army.

I purchased the new Space Marine Librarian in Terminator armour as I really do like the model and for me will certainly fit into my Grey Knights army with all the books and purity seals. Obviously it is quite expensive for a single model, but then when has Games Workshop ever made “cheap” models.

Nice model and nice that all the weapon options are included. The model comprises three castings, once I had put these together I gave the model a black undercoat.

A very ornate model, will be fun to paint.

What’s it going be?

Forgeworld have their own version of an Advent Calendar, certainly won’t have twenty four windows and it ain’t going be that festive!

 Forgeworld Teaser

Although we have called a temporary pause on new releases while we get everybody`s orders to them, we’re not resting on our laurels and we have a number of exciting new models on the way. By way of a teaser, over the next few updates we will be revealing a part of one of our new models to wet your appetite for the New Year. If you collect and assemble these teaser shots, you be able to see the whole thing!

Well the Inquisitor symbols makes me assume it’s an Inquisitor in Terminator Armour. Wonder what the whole model will look like?

Obviously at £8 it is quite expensive for a single model, but then when has Games Workshop ever made “cheap” models.

The fit of the pieces is okay, but a couple of times as I was sticking another piece on the other arm fell off. It also took a fair bit to get the model onto the 40mm base.
