Having finished painting Emmet Gates, I started on the base.
I first gave it a basecoat of Citadel Texture: Armageddon Dust.
What I did note was that it didn’t quite cover the coin as well as I thought it would. So for my other Foundry models I will use a bit of green stuff to texture the base.
Once the paint was dry, I drybrushed with Citadel Layer: Ushabti Bone and then used some Citadel Mordheim Turf.
I finished painting the Emmet Gates model.
I gave the model a wash using Citadel Shade: Agrax Earthshade. This was to darken the base colours, add shadow and shade.
At this stage I could drybrush or highlight, but I quite like the finish at this time, so I think I will leave himas is. The next stage will be the base.
I was lucky enough to get for one Christmas a few years back two packs of Foundry Old West Outlaws. I am still in the process of painting the models using a variety of colours.

Really nice miniatures, really need to get them finished.

It would appear that Games Workshop have closed down Warhammer Historical.
I have bought many of their publications in the past, really liked the production values, though I know many hard-core gamers looked down on the rules, I always thought that they were simple yet fun.
I should have guessed something was in the air when they did their relatively recent half-price sale. Then I got the new Great War supplement, the hardbacked Waterloo rules and the Old West expansion.

I am in the main using Vallejo paints that I bought for my Flames of War miniatures alongside some Citadel paints too.
