I am currently painting a few of my older Imperial Guard miniatures.
This Hellhound was undercoated white, before being given a green base coat and other details added with Bestial Brown and Camo Green.
warhammer, wh40k, flames of war, bolt action, aeronautica imperialis, star wars, models, news, views and stuff
One of the disadvantages of playing a 1500pt game on a small table…
…is that it gets rather crowded.
Played Take and Hold and it was very close, but in the end my Orks just managed to win.
Highlights of the game: a Medusa taking out a unit of Burnaboyz in just one shot; the battery of Big Gunz actually hitting something (they have been practicing).
More pictures of the fantastic Imperial Guard Dropship from the UK GamesDay 2004… Following on from the EDT rumours which broke my website (bandwidth issues) there was a lot of interest in the large Imperial Guard (or Inquisition) Dropship which was used in one of the display games.
As you can see it is huge.
It was made from lots of Forgeworld models and other bits.
As you can see a lot of attention was given to detail.
Excellent effort.
Here is a photograph from my most recent game (today).
These are Simon’s Imperial Guard Stormtroopers about to try and take back a pre-tech village from a bunch of Orks (mine).
As you can see the models are not run of the mill Stormtroopers but are based on Space Marine Scouts.
The Squiggoth in the distance eventually charged them and lost in the second round of combat.
The buildings are from Steve Barber Models.
Imperial Guard Sentinels from Simon’s collection. These are the very nice Sentinels from Simon’s collection (my regular opponent).

He has done an excellent job on them, he has four of them.
