Sadly no longer available…

One of my favourite pieces from Forgeworld was the Epic Cathedral. This is Carl’s (from Dropzone) which was part of the scenery from an excellent demonstration game of Epic at GamesDay 2001.

Epic Cathedral

I really do like this model and Carl has done an excellent paint job on this.

Epic Cathedral

So much better than mine…

Alas it is no longer available from Forge World which is a pity, the nice tank factory is also not available, ah well.

You have to ask is Apocalypse the new Epic, but just with a bigger table?

Epic Tanks

This was an Epic game (one of many) which was happening at GamesDay 2001.

Epic Game

Those are Ork Gunwagons advancing on some Imperial Guard Leman Russ and Hellhound tanks.

Back then there were quite a few games of Epic on show at GamesDay, this year there was (as far as I could see) just the one.

I have quite a large miniatures gallery of Epic miniatures on my website.

Warlord Titan

With Apocalypse being the buzz expansion of the moment, of course everyone is talking titans…

Using titans in Warhammer games is not a new thing though, the Forge World titans have been around for quite a few years now.

Before them we had the Armorcast models (and if I could find one at a reasonable price I would certainly get an Armorcast Great Gargant, if only so Simon’s new BaneBlade could blow it up!)

At GamesDay 2001 there was this very nice Warlord Titan which was being used more for display than gaming, but was still very impressive.
