I have undercoated my Forgeworld Ork Bommerz.
They are in white as I intend to use an orange colour which is not good at covering black.

Ork Bommerz are slightly fiddly…
I am currently putting together the Forgeworld Epic Ork Bommers.
They are really nice castings and well detailed, but are somewhat fiddly to put together as the kits contain very small parts.
Each Bommer comes with six bombs, I am going to only glue four on as I will use the spares for the ground vehicles that I am converting for use on the airfield.
These ground vehicles will include fuel trucks, crane trucks, weaponload trucks, tow vehicles and other types of vehicles you would expect to see on an Ork airfield.
I also hoping that Forgeworld will release the trailers (especially the tanker trailer) from their 40K scale range in Epic scale – this will give me a lot of conversion material.
I have also decided that I will go with a desert theme with them, and that I will be basing all the units including vehicles…. we’ll have to see how that goes!!!
My Ork Airfield Defence Force will also be in a desert theme so that I can inter-mix units.
One of my favourite pieces of scenery has to be the Epic Cathedral from Forgeworld.
I like the fact it is based on the ruins from the Epic40K boxed set and therefore fits in well not just with the other Forgeworld buildings, but also the ruins. Other bits are from the Imperator Titan which adds to the Imperial feel of the building.
It is a hefty piece of resin and certainly dominates the battlefield.
I still really like this conversion I did… I actually did this conversion some time ago.
However it still remains one of my favourite conversions. I do wonder if Forgeworld will ever release an Epic version of their own 40K scale modem, but they seem to take an age to produce Epic Ork models.
You can see how I made the conversion here.
