Billie Piper to leave Doctor Who

According to the BBC, Billie Piper, who pays Rose Tyler, is to leave Doctor Who at the end of this second series.

As part of BBC FOUR’s 1973 season they are showing all four episodes of the Doctor Who Green Death story starring Jon Pertree.

it is on today (two episodes) and concludes tomorrow night (another two episodes).

Doctor Who is back for a second series and the Time Lord will be around for a while, because star David Tennant has signed up for a third.

Billie Piper, his assistant Rose Tyler, has also confirmed she is on board the Tardis for the third run of the return of the BBC’s sci-fi hit.

This is excellent and I am glad to hear that David is staying for another season as I was disappointed that Chris Ecclestone only did the one series.

Looking forward to seeing the new series, especially with the return of the Cybermen and K9.

Welsh actress Eve Myles is to play the lead female role in the Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood…

Myles will play the role of Gwen opposite John Barrowman in the 13-part serial, to be screened later this year.

The drama, penned by Russell T Davies, will chart the adventures of a renegade team of crime investigators who solve both human and alien mysteries.

As you can see time has not been kind and it is rather battered and worse for wear.
