There were some wonderful armies on display at GamesDay 2007. This Vindicator was from a really nice Space Marine army.

One of the vehicles Simon has in his collection is this very nice Space Marine Vindicator which is now under “new management”. Here are some more photographs in addition to the ones I have shown before.
The back story behind the model is that a Space Marine Vindicator was taken out on the battlefield and then recovered by the Imperial Guard and pressed into service.
Rules wise Simon is using the Thunderer rules from the Forge World Imperial Armour book.
This is a really nice model and I like what Simon has done with it.

A Space Marine Vindicator rolls through the rubble on the streets of a ruined Imperial city.

This is the Epic 40,000 model which was released ten years ago, has it really been that long since that game was released – yes I realise Epic as a system is even older, but Epic 40,000 was the game I enjoyed most. I never played Space Marine, I just used the models and used the Dirtside system.

Space Wolves Vindicator
This Space Wolves army includes virtually (if not all) the Space Marine models and conversions from Forge World as well as all the plastic and metal models from Citadel.
It was on display at both GamesDay 2006 and GamesDay 2007.
More photographs of this army. Also have a look at our Vindicator galleries.
The Vindicator assault tank is often used by Space Maines to breach heavily fortified enemy positions.
This is the Forgeworld version of the Vindicator assault tank. It is part of Mike Sharpe’s superb Space Wolves army, which was on show at GamesDay 2006.
I photographed quite a few photos of Mike’s army when I was at GamesDay as seen on the blog and on the Warhammer 40K Space Marine miniatures gallery.
I found out in this month’s (January 2007) UK White Dwarf review of GamesDay the owner of the collection, I can’t recall seeing details on the day.
It’s an impressive army.
