One of the left field announcements from the recent Battlefront update was on Volley & Charge, a Flames of War style ruleset for the American Civil War, but also mentioned was also released for the Samurai Wars, the American Indian Wars, the Franco-Prussian War; the final option which interested me the most was the Crimean War.
Will be interesting to see what that looks like.
Having based the Crimean War British Infantry I gave the models a white undercoat.
These are from Great War Miniatures.
After cleaning the Crimean War British Infantry, I glued them to two pence pieces and the covered this with PVA glue and Citadel Sand.
I also used some slate pieces from a Citadel terrain pack to represent rock.

These are really nice castings, well sculptured, minimal flash and mould lines, lots of character too.

Looking at using the Waterloo rules from Warhammer Historical for this period, but the idea is small skirmishes rather than big battles.
