Ionus Cryptborn is a living legend, descending like a silent shadow over the most beleaguered of battlefields. His prayers are capable of calling down wicked maelstroms of lightning that can smash through sieges, and electrocute armies.

Spiterider Lancers
The Spiterider Lancers are Alarielle’s elite cavalry, mounted upon agile Dragonspites whose bodies thrum with the energies of Life. Taming one of these ancient insectoid predators is a quest in itself – their forest spirit riders deftly swoop and whirl above the battlefield before suddenly diving into a charge, striking the enemy lines with shocking force. The enemies of the Everqueen are left with nowhere to hide when the Spiterider Lancers are unleashed from the vales.
Belthanos, First Thorn of Kurnoth
From the displays at Warhammer World.

Belthanos leads the eternal hunt that keeps his master Kurnoth’s spirit in bloom. Cloaked in leaves and riding atop a Carnelian Greatspite made of pure life magic, he chases down those who would harm Ghyran so that his howling followers might rip them apart.
Alarielle the Everqueen at Warhammer World
Reborn from the land she loved in a soaring crescendo of hope, fury, loss and exhilaration, Alarielle the Everqueen is an ancient and powerful being. She is the goddess of life magic; where she treads, atop her immense wardroth beetle, new blooms scream forth in a riot of colour, strength and passion. She scatters soul amphorae across the Mortal Realms, each containing magical pollens that can coax new sylvaneth from the ground, or choke her enemies. The only match for the courage she instils in her allies is the hatred she feels for her foes – Alarielle the Everqueen burns with a fierce need for vengeance, and her enemies would do well to run.
Orruk Megaboss on Maw-krusha
This Orruk Megaboss on Maw-krusha was on display at Warhammer World.
Orruk Megabosses are pretty killy – it’s how they become as huge as they do, all that stompin’ causes them to grow and grow and grow until the power of the Waaagh! flows through them. But for some Megabosses, this isn’t enough! These particularly angry orruks seek out and subdue enormous Maw-krushas (often by yelling really, really loudly at them) – ill-tempered and powerful creatures who enjoy smashing stuff up almost as much as the orruks themselves. This uneasy pairing never really gets along especially well, and the Megaboss needs to constantly remind his Maw-krusha who’s in charge with the liberal application of an iron boot to the back of the head. Despite this, almost nothing on the battlefield can withstand their noisy rampage, and the immense number of kills they rack up inspires nearby orruks to fight ever harder.
When this came out I did think it would be a great model for my Feral Ork army. However as most things, it is still an idea and nowhere near getting anywhere close to the workbench. I would have to buy the model in the first place and there is already too many things on my workbench and on my wish list. I will still think about it though.
The Gates Of Sharrowmourne
On my most recent visit to Warhammer World I took some more photographs of The Gates Of Sharrowmourne diorama.
In the wake of the Shyish Necroquake the ghostly processions of Lady Olynder, Mortarch of Grief, laid siege to great swathes of the Mortal Realms. Yet beleaguered as the armies of the God-King were, they did not weather this onslaught without answer. At the mausoleum-fortress of Sharrowmourne, in the heart of Lady Olynder?s domain, Lord-Arcanum Aventis Firestrike led a daring assault alongside the elite warriors of his Sacrosanct Chamber.

Arkanaut Ironclad
This Arkanaut Ironclad was on display at Warhammer World.

The Arkanaut Ironclad is the jewel in the crown of the Kharadron Overlords’ airfleets. It is a majestic airship that is bristling with weaponry. Its deep cargo holds can be laden with aether-gold or it can be loaded to the gunwales with Arkanaut Companies or Grundstok Thunderers.
The Ironclad is the largest vessel routinely seen in the Kharadron airfleets. It is clad in layer upon layer of riveted iron plates, making it incredibly tough and protective. The Ironclad is armed with a fearsome array of weapons, including aether-shot carbines, bombs, and torpedoes. These weapons can pour astonishing amounts of firepower on anything that gets between the Kharadron Overlords and their bounty of aether-gold.
The Ironclad is a formidable warship that is feared by its enemies. It is a symbol of the Kharadron Overlords’ technological prowess and their mastery of the skies.
Arkanaut Frigate
These Arkanaut Frigates were on display at Warhammer World.

The Arkanaut Frigate is a versatile airship that represents centuries of refinement by the shipwrights of the Endrineers Guild. It is a balance of speed, transport capacity, and firepower, making it a mainstay of the Kharadron Overlords’ airfleets.
The frigate’s sleek hull is made of Aether-Khemist-treated gromril, making it both strong and light. This allows it to reach speeds of up to 150 knots, while still being able to carry a significant amount of cargo and troops. It is also fast and powerful enough to escape the gravitational drag of a density hole.
The frigate’s buoyancy endrin is powered by Aether-gold, and it allows the ship to stay aloft even in the most turbulent conditions. This makes it ideal for long-range missions, as well as for operating in dangerous environments, such as those found in the Eightpoints. It retains enough firepower to level a city should the need arise.
The frigate’s main armament is a pair of sky cannons, which can fire explosive shells that can level a city block. It also carries a number of smaller weapons, such as aethershot carbines and boarding weapons. This gives the frigate the firepower it needs to take on a variety of targets, from enemy airships to ground forces.
The Arkanaut Frigate is a powerful and versatile airship that is essential to the Kharadron Overlords’ war effort. It is a symbol of their technological prowess and their mastery of the skies. It is a formidable warship that is feared by its enemies.

One can dream…
So over the last week we have had Warhammer Fest Online.
Last weekend as I looked over the list of live shows, it was apparent to me that what I was most interested in was, would there be new Orks for Warhammer 4000, what would be revealed on Thursday for the boxed games and what would be the BIG mystery on Saturday.
Well we found out on Saturday that the mystery was a new edition of Age of Sigmar.
I am guessing exciting for players of Age of Sigmar, for me not so much.
I was hoping we would see the return of the Old World and Warhammer. We know from previous reveals that this was in the works and I am intrigued to see what this new (old) game looks like and what the models will be like, especially as we have seen massive jumps in model detail and development since the end of Warhammer back in 2015.
I was secretly hoping that we would see a relaunch of Epic in the (new) Adeptus Titanicus scale, but that was a far out dream… Well one can dream….
