The BBC America trailer for Doctor Who.
It is very different to the BBC trailer.
I am looking forward to the new series, looking good.
Looking good.
Looks and sounds festive and interesting.
Can’t wait.
Refreshing a classic.
Though the Doctor has been to many various planets and places, he has never actually been to America. Even though in an episode he *may* appear to be in the USA, it was probably filmed in Cardiff or a quarry in Essex!
Well that is about to change, as according to BBC News, the new series (sixth) will open with a two part story set in the US and has scene in the Utah Desert.
Scenes will be filmed in the Utah desert for a story set in the late ’60s in which the Doctor, Amy and Rory find themselves on a secret summons to the Oval Office.
The story also has River Song in it.
I’ll try and not spoil it for anyone, but tonight’s Doctor Who was not quite what I expected.
Having said that I did enjoy the episode and there are some nice ideas in there for playing some alternative World War Two games.
Adding SF elements to World War Two is always a nice idea.
I am looking forward to tonight’s episode of Doctor Who, Victory of the Daleks.
I’ve always enjoyed watching the Daleks in Doctor Who. However this episode combines the Daleks and World War Two, which makes it doubly interesting.
Lot of gaming potential with Daleks and World War Two.
Thinking my expectations might be a little too high for this episode!
One of the nice parts of previous seasons of the new Doctor Who were the associated commentaries available to download (as a podcast). I use to listen to them a day or two after watching the episode and get a real insight into how the episode was made. It certainly explained the effort, skill and work put into the series by the Doctor Who team.
With the new season of Doctor Who, there doesn’t appear to be any commentaries, that’s a pity.
Fair bit of interest following my posting of the Doctor Who trailer and the World War Two British Army Dalek.
Well here’s a picture of another!
They appear in the third episode to be broadcast on the 17th April entitled Victory of the Daleks.
Not going to post any other information that I have (accidently) seen, as I don’t like spoilers. This though looks like it could be a fun episode and certainly one with plenty of gaming potential.
