Hailing from the wild, monster-haunted mountains of Chrace, the White Lions serve as the personal bodyguards to the Phoenix King. To earn their rank, each warrior must venture into the wilderness alone and slay a ferocious War Lion in single combat—wearing its pelts ever after as a badge of supreme martial prowess. On the battlefield, these pelts absorb arrows and shot like heavy armor, allowing the White Lions to stride unhindered through storms of missile fire. Armed with massive, two-handed woodsman’s axes, they fight with relentless stubbornness, cleaving through heavily armored foes to protect their liege to the absolute last breath.
