At GamesDay 2006 I purchased a box of Ork Kommandos. These were a recent release from Games Workshop as part of the Medusa V campaign. One of the rare Ork releases until the release of the Ork Codex sometime in January 2008. I got a couple of Kommando with a Burna.
This is a nice model. The Ork Kommando with Burna comes as two castings.
The actual model comprises four components, the main body, a backpack and the two arms, one of which has the actual burna.
Fitting the model together was relatively easy, the arms fitted well and there are only minimal gaps which need filling.
At the moment I am not sure whether to attach the backpack now or later.
I added some slate and modelling sand to the base.
After much thought I decided I would stick the fuel tank on the back of the Ork as painting it separately seemed a lot of extra effort.
The next stage was to give the model a black undercoat, where the black spracy has “missed” areas this will be touched up with thinned down Chaos Black paint.
Having given the model a black undercoat, it was drybrushed with Tin Bitz.
I have made similar progress with my second model.
