The Britannia Battleship is the pride of Queen Victoria’s navy, a reliable and hardy workhorse that has fought in many battles across the globe. It has a fearsome array of torpedo tubes, allowing it to fire at surface and submerged targets within three firing arcs, and four main turrets. This Battleship also has the option of replacing up to two turrets with Shield Generators, which can sometimes make all the difference in negating the attacks of other craft while the Battleship pounds its enemies with shells.
I already have a Ruler Class Battleship that came in the Naval Battle Group boxed set. This is now finished and it looks like this.
Looking for some reinforcements I decided to go with a second Ruler Class Battleship.
Unlike my other Battleship I replaced one of the turrets with a generator.
I gave the model a white undercoat.
I then gave the model a basecoat of Citadel Base: Mechanicus Standard Grey.
What I have been finding is that my painting is not covering the model and I am not sure if it is my painting (in other words my eyesight) or whether it’s the paint shrinking. Looking over the model I think it might need a bit of a second coat.
