The greatest threat to the Imperium of Man is, and has always been, the followers of Chaos and the foul daemons of the Warp. The Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus, the Daemonhunters, are at war with forces too terrible to comprehend and, together with the holy warriors of the Grey Knights, they must take the light of the Emperor into the darkness. The threat of the daemonic is so great that only these heroic warriors have the necessary skills and knowledge to stand against such diabolical foes.
One of the HQ choices is of course an Inquisitor and a very nice model it is too. I decided early on that I would leave the book he was holding separate and glue it on later.
He started off with a white undercoat and the paper areas were given a thinned coat of Desert Yellow.
The flesh areas were then painted and given a wash of chestnut ink.
Still undecided about the main colours though. I then highlighted the flesh areas.
This shot does show the excellent detail on this model, I really must do some more with it, but still unsure of what colour scheme to go with!
I have given the Inquisitor a purple cloak.
Purple is a very stately colour and fits well with the Daemonhunters fluff. I then highlighted the cloak with Warlock Purple to accentuate the edges of the model.
Still thinking about a colour scheme for the armour.
I painted the gun and the wrist black.
I painted the sword black as well.
