The greatest threat to the Imperium of Man is, and has always been, the followers of Chaos and the foul daemons of the Warp. The Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus, the Daemonhunters, are at war with forces too terrible to comprehend and, together with the holy warriors of the Grey Knights, they must take the light of the Emperor into the darkness. The threat of the daemonic is so great that only these heroic warriors have the necessary skills and knowledge to stand against such diabolical foes.
I am slowly building up my Grey Knights army and as well as using the obvious Grey Knights models I am also using other Space Marine models to expand and enchance my army.
When the new Dark Angels were released I knew immediately that I wanted to use them (especially the robed figures) in my army.
These are very nice plastic models, they went together very easily. Here are the five robed marine bodies. I used some resin and slate from the Warhammer 40K Basing Kit.
I then stuck on the heads and chest armour plates.
The next stage was to add the arms and the back packs.
I then added the shoulder pads.
In order to enhance the bases I stuck down some Games Workshop modelling sand.
One thing I do with my plastic models is add weight to them, by sticking a penny to the underneath of the slottabase.
I gave the models a black undercoat.
